Becky is a Cake Decorator/Baker and Mother of twin boys -9 years old, both with High Functioning Autism. Becky joined the original WALKdo meetings because she was looking for a way to help the Autism cause. After she learned that some teachers in the Mankato area were thinking about starting a walk for Autism Awareness and needed help, she became a part of the planning group. Becky said she is glad she showed up that first night. “I have met a lot of great people, learned a lot about Autism in general, and I’m still learning what type of services are available in our region,” said Fredericks who is the first Vice Chair of SMAC. “I’m looking forward to helping this organization become “THE” provider to go to for autism information in southern MN.”
