It was chartered in 1971 as a chapter of the Autism Society of America, the collective voice of the autism community in over 240 chapters nationwide. AuSM has members throughout the state of Minnesota and the upper Midwest.

Fallenstein Field is the ONLY barrier free handicap and wheelchair accessible softball/baseball field in Minnesota that was built for children AND adults with all types of disabilities, giving everyone the opportunity to participate. Fallenstein Field was built according to National Wheelchair Softball Association (NWSA) specifications, providing opportunities for children & adults with all types of disabilities to actively participate in softball/baseball activities, including competitive wheelchair softball.
